Reflecting back on the amazing memories made during the Brides In The City tour, our day was truly an experience to remember! From start to finish, every moment was infused with excitement and enchantment as we explored some of the city’s most captivating wedding venues and vendors.
Our opening stop at Dunham Tavern set the stage for an amazing day! Attendees enjoyed an extraordinary breakfast charcuterie from Westside Charcuterie & Luxury Event Caterer. Also at Dunham Tavern we had DJ Rev Dev grace us with great music, a premier photo booth and Dancing on the Clouds. Afterwards, we embarked on visits with elite vendors who brought remarkable energy and excitement from beginning to end. The presence of Mint 2 Be Tipsy, the bartender, infused the perfect element into the experience.
The tour also introduced two new venues that we’re so excited to work with this wedding season. Nseya Event Venue, owned by longtime stylist and entrepreneur Tre’Mia Hill, is absolutely stunning! It was a pleasure to see this new event space as Tre’Mia reached out to Covesa Kelly Events for coaching while working on her plans. She overcame every obstacle she faced while rolling out her opening plans and has created a beautiful venue. While Nseya Event Venue is not full service, you would need to provide your own catering and alcohol, there is a full kitchen for all of your food needs.
The second new venue on the tour was BR Event Studio, owned by Shanae Alston. She recently rebranded her space from a dance studio to the cutest bachelorette and small soiree event space. A newlywed herself, Shanae is excited to expand her wedding and event services!
Our brides and their squads were in for a treat at our final stop at LoKey Entertainment, as RaShaunda and LaRese Purnell joined the tour to talk about their book coming out this summer! "Unexpected Blessings" tells the story of their beautiful journey together, through marriage and now life on the other side. We also hosted a panel of 2023 brides who gave their insights to what went well, what was a surprise and what they would skip if they had to do the wedding again. The audience enjoyed the mix of wedding styles, personalities and experiences from each panelist. As the conversation flowed and the brides and their guests snacked on delicious small bites provided by Pearl Flower Catering, we reluctantly had to bring it to a close in order to head to our next location!
As the tour drew to a close, we enjoyed a sweet finale of hot donuts - a first for the tour and the true highlight of the day. With a day full of amazing venues, talented vendors, hearts full of memories and taste buds still tingling, we’re eagerly planning for the next tour. We are extremely grateful to every vendor that helped make this an unforgettable tour. Brides, mark your calendars - the fall tour promises to be an experience not to be missed.
