Wine Down Wednesday: Dancing Birds

Updated: Mar 19

Let us continue our fall wine selections! There are so many reasons to fall in love with the autumn season… the crisp air, beautiful colorful leaves, outside bonfire and of course Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

This past weekend Dancing Birds had a chance to have some candy and wine for Halloween. Although we did not make a huge deal of the day, it is another great excuse to have a glass of wine. Our feature wine this week is Sangue Di Giuda by Casteggio, its origin is from the great wine region south of Milan and they call it the “Blood Wine” due to its ruby red color. This is a semi sweet full-bodied red wine with tasting notes of blueberry and raspberry. Our favorite is it has a slight frizzante (semi sparkling) taste which gives it a spectacular finish. You can pair it with chocolate cake if you want to take it up a notch.  We recommend to slightly chill this wine. Cheers!
